In what grades do students typically first encounter the PECK assessment?

The PECK assessment is primarily designed for students who are at a stage in their education where they are completing key course requirements and preparing for graduation. Typically, this occurs in grade 9 or at the conclusion of the required courses in high school. By this point, students have acquired a substantial amount of knowledge and skills through their education, which allows the assessment to effectively evaluate their understanding and readiness for the next steps in their academic journey.

In contrast, the other options do not align with the typical grade level at which the PECK assessment is administered. Grades 6-8 may involve different assessments that focus on foundational skills rather than the comprehensive evaluations found in PECK. Grade 12 being the only option does not fit either, as the evaluation happens earlier in high school, and students in grade 5 and below are generally not yet at the educational level where PECK would be applicable in terms of its scope and format.
